November – A Time For Remembering The Faithful Departed

We will begin the month of November by gratefully remembering our beloved dead with our celebration of All Saints Dayand will continue throughout the month of November.

Photos and mementos of deceased family/friends may be brought to the All Saints Day liturgy and placed on the ALTAR OF REMEMBRANCE.

The tables for the altar will be in front of the church near the Baptismal Font.

The Altar of Remembrance with photos and mementoswill bevisible in our church to help us remember and celebrate our beloved who have been harvested into God’s heavenly and hearty banquet - and to sustain us in the ongoing earthly harvest of justice, peace and praise.

Can you help in the Nursery?
 Children's Liturgy?

We need a few volunteers to manage the Hippo Café the first Sundays of the month. For more information, or if you are interested, please contact Wanda Alvarado at the Parish Office.

Call the church office.

Clothing items are needed for the Parish Outreach Center.  See the bulletin.

Would you like to participate:

  • as Eucharist Ministers, as a Liturgical minister and assist with our weekly liturgy?
  • as an Altar server?
  • in the Ministry for the homebound?

For more information about training contact Deacon Al Hallatt.

Altar Servers of all ages:  Parent and children altar serving is a wonderful way to celebrate the liturgy. Youth must have received their First Communion. Please consider this ministry as a family. Training will be announced to accommodate the family.

Stewardship: Your assistance is needed in a variety of ways -  Ushers, Mass Coordinators, Music, Greeters, Children's Liturgy, Catechists for L.I.F.E., items for an expectant mother, Food Pantry and the Outreach Center.

Los tres magos trajeron regalos de oro, incienso, y mirra al niño Jesus. ¿Caul regalo podemos ofrecerle? Invitamos todos los miembros de la parroquia a ofrecer su servicio en los ministerios de la parroquia.

Please use the pastoral/prayer cards to communicate to staff requests for prayer lists and other details for pastoral care. The cards may be obtained in the Parish Information Center and in the Hospitality/Ushers' Room.

Remember the members of our parish who are not well - Send a card to someone you know and perhaps to someone you don't know.

Be a Good Neighbor:

Please do not park your "FOR SALE" vehicles in the church lot.

Parking for Mass and Parish Events
Please do not park in the Beulah Methodist parking lot as a courtesy to our Emergency Shelter  neighboring church. Also the area next to the Newspaper Collection Bin does not have parking spaces. Please do not park along that side as it is too close to the legitimate parked vehicles for anyone to drive through that lane. Thank you very much for complying with this request.

St. Augustine's Prayer
God of our life, there are days when the burdens we carry chafe our shoulders and weigh us down; when the road seems dreary and endless, the skies gray and threatening; when our lives have no music in them, and our hearts are lonely, and our souls have lost their courage.  Flood the path with light, turn our eyes to where the skies are full of promise; turn our hearts to brave music; give us the sense of comradeship with heroes and saints of every age; and so quicken our spirits that we may be able to encourage the souls of all who journey with us on the road of life to your honor and glory.
